چکیده
Objective: The characteristics of adipose-derived stem cells (ADSC), isolated from buccal fat pads when cultured in media supplemented, with either autologous human serum (AHS group) or fetal bovine (FBS were compared.Material and Methods: Buccal tissue was harvested six patients, who had undergone surgical removal their maxillary third molars underwent orthognathic surgeries. ADSC the tissue, via an enzymatic digestion method AHS FBS groups (n=6/group). Colony forming units-fibroblast (CFU-F), immune-phenotyping markers, growth multi-differentiation both compared. Results:The number CFU-F cell group significantly greater than those (p-value<0.05). expressions mesenchymal hematopoietic markers not statistically different. potential for adipogenesis, chondrogenesis osteogenesis inductive conditions. Conclusion: immunophenotype ADSC, which AHS- FBS- media, However, medium could support capacity colonies better medium.

Differentiation of adipose-derived stem cells into Schwann-like cells: fetal bovine serum or human serum?
Access to autologous Schwann cells is limited due to lack of donor site and its difficult isolation and culture. Therefore, one of the possible ways to obtain to Schwann cells is to differentiate mesenchymal stem cells into glial pathway using various materials and protocols. The aim of this study was to compare the effects of fetal bovine serum and human serum on Schwann cell differentiation o...
متن کاملIn vitro Maturation and Fertilization of Buffalo Oocytes Cultured in Media Supplemented with Bovine Serum Albumin
The aim of this study was to determine the quality of cumulus-oocyte-complexes (COCs) and the effects of bovine serum albumin (BSA) supplementation on in vitro maturation and fertilization rate of buffalo oocytes. COCs were collected from slaughterhouse buffalo ovaries by aspiration method. Only normal grades COCs were matured for 48 hours in TCM-199 media. Two groups were created: one for the ...

Adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) are a promising cell source and are being investigated for a variety of therapeutic applications. However, standard expansion protocols use fetal bovine serum (FBS) as a growth factor supplement, which is a potential source of undesirable xenogeneic pathogens. For clinical safety, autologous human serum (HS) would be more appropriate. This study compared FBS-su...
متن کاملComparison of Characteristics of Human Amniotic Membrane and Human Adipose Tissue Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells
BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are ideal candidates for treatment of diseases. Amniotic membranes are an inexpensive source of MSCs (AM-MSC) without any donor site morbidity in cell therapy. Adipose tissue derived stem cells (ASCs) are also suitable cells for cell therapy. There is discrepancy in CD271 expression among MSCs from different sources. In this study, the characteristics...

nowadays, cell -based and tissue engineered products have opened new horizons in treatment of incurable nervous system disorders. the number of studies on the role of schwann cells (sc) in treating nervous disorders is higher than other cell types. different protocols have been suggested for isolation and expansion of sc which most of them have used multiple growth factors, mitogens and fetal b...
